Glock 26 – G26
The Glock 26 – G26 is a subcompact 9×19 mm pistol that was introduced for users seeking a smaller handgun while retaining many of the design characteristics found in larger Glock models. Its compact dimensions make it one of the smallest pistols in the Glock lineup, yet it shares magazine compatibility with many larger 9mm Glock magazines. The Glock 26 uses the company’s SAFE ACTION® system, which incorporates three passive, automatically operating mechanical safeties.
Current Gen5 variants include the Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB), an ambidextrous slide stop lever, and the removal of finger grooves to improve ergonomics for a wider range of users. Standard magazine capacity is 10 rounds, and the pistol features a 3.43-inch (87 mm) barrel with an overall length of approximately 6.42 inches (163 mm). Some versions are also available with the Modular Optic System (MOS), allowing compatible micro red-dot optics to be mounted. The Glock 26 is commonly discussed in the context of concealed carry due to its compact size, although responsible ownership requires proper training, safe handling, secure storage, and compliance with all applicable laws.
